About Onfire Health
Onfire Health is an early-stage startup committed to making functional medicine and longevity care accessible and affordable for all. Engineering is central to our offering, as we are building a platform that incorporates multiple revenue channels and agentic payments management.
Our core platform is a payments and group-buying membership which allows members to fund their out-of-pocket health expenses with zero-interest using their savings plan. It leverages group-negotiated, discounted services using pre-planned savings instead of relying on expensive consumer debt.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, and Vite
- Contribute to mobile app development using React Native or similar frameworks
- Develop backend APIs and services using Python/FastAPI or Node.js
- Implement authentication flows with Auth0 across web and mobile platforms
- Deploy applications to Vercel and manage serverless functions
- Write clean, well-tested code following team standards and best practices
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to implement new features
- Participate in code reviews and learn from senior engineers
- Debug issues and optimize performance across the stack
- Contribute to technical documentation and team knowledge sharing
- Stay current with modern web and mobile development practices
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React fundamentals
- Experience with modern frontend tooling (Vite, Webpack, or similar)
- Basic understanding of backend development (Python, Node.js, or similar)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and basic API design principles
- Experience with authentication concepts (OAuth, JWT) or Auth0
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
- Understanding of Git and version control workflows
- Familiarity with deployment platforms (Vercel, Netlify, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
