Onfire Health is an early-stage startup committed to making functional medicine and longevity care accessible and affordable for all. Engineering is central to our offering, as we are building a platform that incorporates multiple revenue channels and agentic payments management.

Our core platform is a payments and group-buying membership which allows members to fund their out-of-pocket health expenses with zero-interest using their savings plan. It leverages group-negotiated, discounted services using pre-planned savings instead of relying on expensive consumer debt.

What You'll Do

• Build responsive, modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Vite
• Develop mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native or similar frameworks
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services using Python/FastAPI or Node.js
• Integrate Auth0 for secure authentication and authorization flows across web and mobile
• Deploy and manage applications on Vercel, leveraging edge functions and serverless architecture
• Create intuitive, accessible user interfaces with attention to design details and performance
• Build reusable component libraries and design systems
• Implement real-time features using WebSockets and server-sent events
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the full stack
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to ship features quickly
• Optimize application performance, from frontend bundle sizes to backend response times
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of full stack engineering experience building production applications
• Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with Vite or similar modern build tools (Webpack, esbuild)
• Hands-on experience building mobile applications (React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android)
• Solid backend development skills in Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask) or Node.js (Express/NestJS)
• Experience with Auth0 or similar authentication platforms (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO)
• Proficiency deploying and managing applications on Vercel or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and GraphQL
• Experience with modern CSS solutions (Tailwind CSS, styled-components, CSS Modules)
• Knowledge of state management (React Context, Redux, Zustand, or similar)
• Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and ORMs
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and web performance optimization
• Track record of shipping polished user-facing features in fast-paced environments

• Experience with healthcare systems (HIPAA compliance, HL7/FHIR standards, EHR integrations)
• Experience with payment systems and financial infrastructure (PCI-DSS compliance, Stripe integration)
• Knowledge of Next.js and server-side rendering (SSR/SSG)

• Understanding of SEO optimization and Core Web Vitals

As an early-stage startup, we offer a competitive and performance-driven total compensation package that includes a significant equity component. The specific salary and stock option grant will be highly competitive and commensurate with your experience, skill level, and the impact you bring to the role.
